Aims

Our approach is mainly geared towards early intervention and prevention, to reduce the number of would-be illegal migrants. It is the aim of AMAC to…..

  • Introduce a social media App with information provided in local dialects. This app will provide a wide range of information that is both preventative and rehabilitative, encompassing the breath of work we do at AMAC.
  • Produce an audio/ visual documentary using local people in their native tongue, highlighting the horrors and problems illegal migrants face during their backway journeys and their subsequent life after. We will use the experiences of former back-way migrants to speak about their journey to Europe to create a clear understanding of the circumstances under which illegal migrants have to survive.
  • Offer career guidance to The Gambian youths as well as returning migrants. By interfacing with organizations such as GTTI, YEP (Gambia) and other training facilities. This initiative will enable us to identify a returnees level of education; Where they are lacking, we will provide access to educational facilities.
  • We will also render mental health support to returnees suffering from mental health issues through relevant institutions.
